Espresso™ Kentucky Coffeetree is vase-shaped with upright, arching branches that provides dappled shade. As a grafted male selection, it bears no messy seed pods. The blue-green leaves are bi-pinnately compound, turning yellow in the fall. The dark coarse bark is an attractive feature in the winter. Tolerant of heat, cold, drought, and wind. We do not have one of these on the farm yet but we will soon. There is a recently planted coffee tree in the Hoosick Falls village that you can visit for inspiration. Suitable for planting in zone 4.
